Back in track

So, after being absent for a while and after a series of sudden, “unexpected” events, I’m now back in the Viejo World track. I believe this adventure that now begins will bring out many wonderful experiences which I’m more than eager to face.

I just arrived to the latitude 46°12'N and longitude 06°09'E, to become part of the 40% of the population coming from abroad. It is a beautiful charm place with any doubt! I just got here and I already have that nice positive feeling that it was not only a good but a great decision to come here.

Regardless of many very interesting figures on this place such as being the third most globalized country (KOF Index of Globalization, 2008), the second most competitive country (WEF Global Competitiveness Report, 2008), ranked at the top in the Environmental Performance Index (Yale, 2008), and having the city with the best quality of life, according to the Worldwide Quality of Living Survey (Merer, 2008), there is much more going around in this place. It is the attitude of many of its inhabitants; it is the hope that many of us have in here that we will contribute to build a better world, a better future.

Qué mejor oportunidad para regresar a escribir,
que aquella después de compartir
con cuatro de mis seres más queridos, imágenes de infancia,
de curiosidad,
de aventura,
de travesura,

…de paz.

ellos con imaginación e ilusión infinita,
ellos que tal vez no conocen letras, sólo bailan y disfrutan de esa musiquita.

Todo aquello que intento enseñarles parece tan diminuto frente a lo que yo les aprendo.
Regreso a casa contento, con espíritu alegre,

recordé que con acciones enseñamos más que con palabras,
recordé que nosotros fijamos nuestros límites,
recordé que las reglas pueden cambiar,
recordé que no hay edad para tener derechos, y
tantas otras cosas como tantas estrellas en el cielo.

Así que, cuando sea grande, quiero ser niño!

Qué se puede hacer un viernes al sur de Londres?

Lejos de las áreas más concurridas por el turismo y ubicado en Camberwell, zona rara vez explorada por los visitantes de la ciudad, se encuentra un espacio que ofrece una atmósfera que inspira las notas del jazz.

Con antecedentes desde 1806 y reconstruida en su totalidad en el año 1844, St Giles Church alberga en su cripta JAZZLIVE, lugar que promueve el gusto por el jazz al hacer las noches de los viernes, veladas realmente placenteras.

Para conocedores y no conocedores del jazz la mesa está puesta!

Menú: ambiente internacional afable, no pretencioso, con buena comida y oferta de bebidas a precios rara vez encontrados en Londres (incluso hay descuento de estudiante en la entrada).
